Just use the Windows key on the keyboard to bring up the start menu. If the two pointing devices stop working after removing the mouse driver. Remove any devices listed below it by highlighting the device, and choosing remove at the bottom. Remove the device by clicking on it once to highlight it, then click on the remove button at the bottom.Now Look down through the list and find the Mouse category. If it is there, click the plus next to it, and remove all devices listed under it. Look for a category named Other Devices. (NOTE: If you are running Windows 2000, Device Manager can be reached by clicking on the Hardware tab.)
Click on the Device Manager tab, and make sure View Devices By Type is selected at the top. If it still does not work, right click on My Computer, and choose Properties. Open Add/Remove programs, and remove any mouse related software listed here. If this is the case, open up my computer and go into control panel. If the device works in Safe Mode, but not in normal Windows mode, it may be a software issue. Once in Safe Mode test, the device to see if it is working. Keep tapping the key until you get the Windows Startup Menu. Power the unit on, and start tapping the F8 key.
